Before you Leave Home

Getting to 415 Cold Springs Road, Angwin

  • Howell Mountain Estate is 15 minutes from downtown St. Helena

  • From HWY 29/128 OR from Silverado Trail, head east on Deer Park Road

  • Drive up the mountain following Deer Park Road until you get to Angwin

  • You will lose cell phone coverage as you drive to the house so please DOWNLOAD THE INSTRUCTIONS on your phone AND PRINT THE DIRECTIONS AS WELL as a backup so that you know how to get into the house, otherwise you’ll have to drive back to get reception.

  • After you see the sign to the town of Angwin, turn right on Cold Springs Rd.

  • Follow Cold Springs Rd. which makes a right turn at the fork drive for about ½ a mile and look for Coyoacan Vineyards sign with the numbers 415 on the left side of the road

Google maps has the address slightly off so pay attention to the address on the mailbox.  In the dark it can be hard to find but look for 415 on the mailbox and signs that say “Coyoacan Vineyards”.

If you reach the end of the road at the iron wheel and come to additional forks in the road, you have gone too far. Please turn around - 415 is not far back.

The Entrance

The driveway has two gates, please use the one on the left

Please find instructions on how to open automated gate on the following page

Please drive up on the paved road.

You’ll pass a small vineyard on the right, go past the barn and eventually you will see the house.

Gate Code

ENTRY

To enter the property, please drive up towards the left rusted gate, to the pin pad just in front

Press 2568 + send

Wait for the gate to completely open before driving through

EXIT

The sensor to get out is approximately 30 yards from the gate.

The gate opens inwards, please leave enough room so that the gate does not hit your car.

Driveway

The driveway is long and narrow.

As you can see in the property map, you’ll pass the vineyard on the right and then the barn.

At the top of the hill you’ll find the house.

Parking

The best place to park is in the circular driveway (in front of the main entrance)

Additional parking can be found behind the circular drive. Sign posted as “Guest Parking”

Please make sure to lock vehicles

Please don’t park on grass, vegetation or bare soil.

Front Door Lock

A 4 number PIN Code will be sent to you (after the required phone call with owner). 

           Example: #1234#

To Unlock

Press #, 4 digit PIN CODE, #

The door thumb latch needs to be pressed firmly. You may think it is still locked, but it's just that they didn't press hard enough.

To Lock: Hold the # key down until you hear the mechanism locking the door.

The door thumb needs needs to be pressed firmly!
